Yes, we’re close to St Kilda beach but facilities at Barkly Backpackers is something our guests comment on most.
Our common room has been a hub for guests from day one. They all seem to love the relaxed but social atmosphere. It’s quiet enough to use our free WiFi to catch up online but social enough to hang out and get to know some new people.
The reception is located in the common area and is open from 7am until midnight on weekdays and 7am to 1am on weekends (Friday and Saturday night).

If you have special needs for your accommodation we are here to help.
We have recently completed work on our premises and continue to make improvements to the hostel, in order to make it more disability friendly.
Barkly Backpackers also act as a booking agent for a proximate (nearby) backpackers which can provide access for mobile disabilities.
